Maio, Cape Verdes, 24th Novembre 2010
Why are we still in the Cape Verdes ? Well we should be about to leave for Senegal but we are experiencing the following difficulties :
- The perfect climate (never too hot or too cold)
- The astonishing clarity and purity of the sea
- The fish
- The long deserted white sandy beaches
- The sunsets
- The beautiful clear early morning light
- Our friends afloat and on land
- The slow and natural lifestyle
- The friendly people
- The excellent places to snorkel (Jack)
- Everything is marvellous (Max)
But soon we are off to Dakar for a bit of maintenance and then to Gambia for New Year with our friends Janet & Nick from England. And then perhaps we’ll come back here… why not ?

Guess where we are? Back in Port Napoleon!
Couldn’t find any other practical place to lift out the big baby.
In a way, it’s nice to come “home”– but just for one winter.

Les fotos sont belles et on a envie d’être avec vous. Aussi Wanda n’est pas trop loin de la plage. Alors je pourrai même marcher ou nager là? Je me rapelle de Dakhla, ou ce n’était pas tres facile pour moi!!! Maintenant, bien sûr, je rigole et je m’amuse de ces “problèmes” ..
Continuer de travailler bien à l’ école et mon voeux de Noel c’est une lettre ou un dessin de votre part. Et vous, qu’est-ce-que vous en revez??

By the way, what happened to your self-constructed Dingy?
Looked up Dingy in the german part of the Cassels dictionnary:
Beiboot = long-boat, jolly-boat, cock-boat, pinnace, but no Dingy.
So I searched vice-versa, i.e. the English part: Under Dinghy I found = Beiboot. For once English has a larger choice of idioms!
